# Aura

> Write by hand on iPad and iPhone, then ask all your notebooks: answers come from your own notes, with the source. Circle any line or formula for help, record the lecture and bring your notes from Goodnotes, Notability, PDF or Word. Hebrew and English.

Aura is a study notebook app for iPhone and iPad by Niv Asayag. Status: heading to TestFlight and the App Store; not yet available. Price: shown on the App Store at launch; AI actions use credits.

## What it does

- Ask all your notebooks. Answers come from your own notes, with a Source you tap to open the page. If your notes don't cover it, Aura says so. Points out mistakes in your notes. Follow-up questions keep the context.
- Stuck on a step? Circle it. Lasso handwriting or typed text, math included, and pick what you need. (Explain, Simplify, Summarize, Solve, Quiz)
- Paper that feels like paper. Pick your paper and your pen. Every stroke saves on its own.
- Every course gets its own look. Eight styles in ten colors, or a photo of your own.
- Lecture ends. Notes are done. Hit record in the notebook (just ask the lecturer first). Get a transcript and a summary, with time links back to each point.
- Keep every note you've ever taken. Guided moves from the apps below. PDFs, Evernote exports, Markdown and images come in too. Got the lecturer's Word file? Write on it..
- Made for what you study. Hebrew and English, right to left where it should be, AI answers included. Pick from 21 study fields, from computer science to Bagrut.
- The notebook is free. AI is optional. Writing, paper, pens, import, export, recording, folders and iCloud sync have no time limit and no paywall.,Sign in with Apple to get 50 free AI credits.,Every AI action shows its cost before it runs. - Your notes stay yours. Notebooks stay on your device: Handwriting, PDFs and recordings live in the app's private storage, and writing works offline. AI only when you ask: Your question or selection, and the note excerpts it needs, go to Aura's server and OpenAI to write the answer. Not kept, not trained on: Nothing is stored after the answer or used for training.
